June 30th 2008. Jamie Shulmeister featured in national radio and newspapers about his research regarding the Waiho Loop moraines and the ciated glacial advance originating from a land slide event. This new theory reduces the significance of the moraines with regard palaeoclimate research. Press release.

Heather Purdie wrote an article for the New Zealand Alpine Club quarterly magazine “The Climber” spring 2007 issue, outlining her research on the Tasman Glacier. A copy of The Climber can be purchased at most book and outdoor stores.

Wendy Lawson was quoted by The Christchurch Press in late July 2007 regarding a recent article in Nature by  Mark Meier about the importance of glaciers to sea level rise http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/4141653a7693.html

Andrew Mackintosh featured in the media in late June 2007 following publication of his Geology paper which commented on Antarctic ice melt as a response to sea level rise: News articles appeared in Geology, New Scientist and Nature, as well as an article from the Associated Press appeared in more than 80 newspapers globally. He was also interviewed on Radio New Zealand: mp3 sound file.
